The king messiah did not come - Israel was created against the will of God, by atheists

"We need to cease to reward people

for pretending to know things they do not know.
The only area of discourse where we do this

is on the subject of God".

Sam Harris

by Ronnie S. Landau  Page 65-66

Many devout Jews who were still obedient to their inherited way of life regarded the Zionist idea as little short of heresy:
to dispense with the need for the Almighty’s permission and to accomplish a physical return to Israel on the initiative of mere fellow-humans
was betrayal of their rabbinic tradition.

Since the end of the Biblical period,
Rabbis promoted a belief that only a Messiah could restore Jewish

sovereignty to the land of Israel.

At the end of the biblical period the Jewish community was divided, with various groups practicing the Jewish religion in their own ways. Out of this turmoil a group of religious leaders called rabbis emerged in the 1st century ce. Over the next centuries rabbis gave shape to the kind of Judaism that dominated Jewish life until modern times. The rabbis subjected each of the rules and laws of the Bible to examination and interpretation, and they developed a voluminous body of oral law called Halakhah (Hebrew from the verb halakh, meaning “to go”). These oral laws were written down during the 1st through the 5th centuries ad and became part of the Talmud and Midrash. The interpretations of the rabbis were characterized by a deep concern for fulfilling the laws and morals of the Bible.

They promoted a belief in political quiescence (inactivity), insisting that only redemption through a Messiah could restore Jewish sovereignty to the land of Israel.

The Messiah

The Septuagint, in Zechariah9:9 says: "Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Sion; proclaim it aloud, O daughter of Jerusalem; behold, the King is coming to thee, just, and a Saviour;
he is meek and riding on an ass, and a young foal."

The messiah
In both Jewish and Christian traditions, the messiah (Jesus Christ in the later case) was often described as riding on a donkey.
As noted, in the context of the Hebrew Bible this connoted wealth and affluence befitting the House of David, as at the time commoners are described as simply going on foot.
However, in later times when the aristocracy used horses, depicting the messiah as riding a donkey came to have an opposite connotation,
as indicating a simple, sober way of life and avoiding luxury. The same connotation is evident in the description of saints such as Francis of Assisi as riding donkeys.
In contemporary Israel, the term "Messiah's Donkey" (Chamoro Shel Mashiach חמורו של משיח) stands at the center of a controversial religious-political doctrine,
attributed to Rabbi Avraham Yitchak Hacohen Cook, under which it was the Heavenly-imposed "task" of secular Zionists to build up a Jewish State,
but once the state is established they are fated to give place to the Religious who are ordained to lead the state.
The secularists in this analogy are "The Donkey" while the religious who are fated to supplant them are a collective "Messiach".
A book on the subject, published in 1998 by the militant secularist Sefi Rechlevsky, aroused a major controversy in the Israeli public opinion.[15]

Six million

Jews were

killed

as a result of the

Zionists

Written by Satmar sect Grand Rebbe Joel Teitelbaum, zt'l

Everyone ignores the fact that

it has been these Zionist groups

that have attracted the Jewish people

and have violated the Oath against establishing a Jewish entity before the arrival of the Messiah.

It is because of the Zionists that six million Jews were killed. The fact is that this is the bitter punishment stipulated in the Talmud.... (Tractate Ketuboth, p. 111),
which results in the payment of a spiritual and physical debt from the Jewish People. Afflictions and tribulations only appear in this world because of the wicked,
and the punishment is meted out first upon the righteous.
However the Zionists have committed horrible actions; that they have always slandered and spoken libelously against the Jewish People to other nations,
and have even inciting non-Jewish leaders against the Jewish People to convince them to expel Jews from their countries.
The Zionists believed that this strategy would make it easier to take over the Holy Land and establish their State there.
We see from letters written by great rabbis in the early days of Zionism how great was their deathly fear of the consequences of the slander and libel of the Zionists;
unfortunately their fears were realized.

THREE STRONG OATHS

The true Jewish position on Zionism and the state called Israel is found in the Scriptures in the Talmud and in the oral traditions transmitted to us by our parents and teachers.
At the outset of the Jews' exile to Babylonia, the Prophet Jeremiah, in chapter 29 of his book proclaimed G-d's message to all the exiled…Verse seven reads, "Seek out the welfare of the city to which I have exiled you and pray for it to the Almighty, for through its welfare will you have welfare." This has been a cornerstone of Jewish "foreign policy" how to behave in the lands of the nations throughout our ensuing exiles till this very day.
There Jeremiah adds in the name of G-d (verses 8 and 9), "Do not let your false prophets among you and your sorcerers seduce you, do not head your dreamers which you cause them to dream. For they speak falsely to you in My name. I did not send them." This too has applied to all the would-be misleaders of Jewry whether they presented themselves as prophets or as sorcerers or as dreamers of national aspirations.
King Solomon in Song of Songs thrice adjured the "daughters of Jerusalem" not to arouse or bestir the love until it is ready." The Talmud explains That we have been foresworn, by three strong oaths, not to ascend to the Holy Land as a group using force, not to rebel against the governments of countries in which we live, and not by our sins, to prolong the coming of moshiach; as is written in Tractate Kesubos 111a .
Throughout the seventy years of the Babylonian exile, throughout the 200 years of the Hellenic exile and throughout the 1917 since the destruction of G-d's Holy House, we have steadfastly maintained our loyalty to G-d and have not transgressed His oaths. And we have prayed for the welfare of the cities and the countries of our host nations that did not oppress us, and in their welfare we indeed always found ours.
Whoever violates Jeremiah's principles or Solomon's oaths immediately imperils the welfare of Jews locally and elsewhere in the world.

Maimonides, Iggeres Teiman – Letter to Yemen
[Maimonides wrote this Letter to the Jewish Community of Yemen almost 1,000 years ago]
And as King Solomon knew with divine inspiration that the Jewish People would face the consequences of this and that suffering would come upon them, and warned the Jewish People not to do this (i.e. violate the Three Oaths), and in a metaphorical way made them swear not to commit these acts, as it is written in Song of Songs, 3,5:  I made you swear Daughters of Jerusalem by the deer and gazelles of the field should you arouse or awaken love until it is so desired.
Therefore, you, dear brethren, must accept the Oath and do not attempt to arouse the love until the proper time when the Alm-ghty shall remember us and you with his trait of mercy to gather his portion from Exile to behold his glory at his holy Temple and redeem us from the Valley of the shadow of Death where he has placed us, thereby removing the darkness from our eyes and the fog from our hearts. He will then fulfill in our days and in yours the verse from Isaiah 9:1 The nation wandering in darkness shall see a great Light, and a Light shall shine on those residing in the land of the shadow of death. At that time G-d shall darken the eyes of all those who rise up against us, and fulfill the verse from Isaiah 9:2Verily darkness shall cover the land and fog shall cover nations, but the light of G-d shall shine upon you, and you shall display his honor.

The Maharal of Prague (Rabbi Betzalel Lowy who lived in the 17th century) explained that the prohibition of violating the Three Oaths applies even if the other nations force the Jewish People to do so.
In addition, he wrote in his book Netzach Yisroel (Chapter 24) that these Oaths may not be modified so as to affect the decree of Exile, and he expanded on the description in the Midrashic text on Song of Songs 2:18.
"Even if the nations wanted to kill the Jews with terrible torture, the Jews are forbidden to change the applicability of the Oaths. This is relevant to every one of these oaths and must be understood." Therefore, not only is it forbidden to leave the Exile even with the permission of the nations, but even if they force the Jewish People to do so under pain of death, it is forbidden to violate these Oaths in the same way it is required to give up one's life rather than accept another religion.
Even during the forced conversions under the kingdom of Portugal in the late 15th century it was forbidden to violate the Oath.
Rabbi Avraham Galanti, who other rabbis described as outstanding in his level of holiness, and who was a student of the great kabbalist Rabbi Moshe Cordovero in the 16th century, explained aspects of the Three Oaths in his book Zechus Avos [Merit of the Patriarchs] where he recounts how some Jews in Portugal wanted to revolt against the kingdom rather than submit to forced conversion. A rabbi quoted the verses from Song of Songs to the people who wanted to revolt, and pointed to the Talmudic tractate Ketuboth p. 111 which states that G-d made the Jewish People take three Oaths – one was that they should not rebel against G-d by rebelling against the nations. Thereafter the Jews submitted to death rather than forced conversion. Although the description in Ketuboth does not say that the Oaths involve directly rebelling against G-d, it is clear that the very violation of these Oaths is rebellion against G-d himself.

Sholom Dovber Schneersohn

The Rebbe Nishmoso Eden

Sholom Dovber Schneersohn (Hebrewשלום דובער שניאורסאהן‎; 1860-10-24 OS - 1920-03-21 NS)
was an Orthodox rabbi and the fifth Rebbe (spiritual leader) of the Chabad Lubavitch chasidic movement.
He is also known as "the Rebbe nishmosei eiden" (whose soul is in Eden) and as "the Rebbe Rashab" (for Reb Sholom Ber).
His teachings represent the emergence of an emphasis on outreach that later Chabad Rebbes would develop into a major theme.[1] In Chabad thought, such as described in the talks of the last Rebbe Menachem Mendel Schneerson, each of the 7 leaders of Chabad successively "drew down", broadened, explained and articulated the teachings of Chasidic philosophy more fully into intellectual grasp. The achievement of the founder of Chabad Shneur Zalman of Liadi, was to articulate the new "Torah of the Baal Shem Tov" in intellectual analysis. From his unique approach derives the name of "Chabad", standing for the intellectual faculties of the soul. In this context, Chabad lore, and the last Rebbe, describes Sholom Dovber Schneersohn as the "Maimonides of Chasidus", as with his teachings the ideas reach a new level of intellectual synthesis and philosophical grasp. Just as Maimonides in Medieval Jewish Philosophy (Hakira) and legal codification (Halacha) brought new comprehension, clarity and analytical synthesis to Jewish thought, so did Schneur Zalman ,and even more so Sholom Dovber, in the inner mystical dimensions of Judaism expressed in Hasidus. Illustrative of this is his plan, in founding the Lubavitch yeshiva system Tomchei Temimim, that the students should learn Chabad Chasidic texts "with pilpul", the Talmudic method of logical in-depth analysis.

Not via our desire did we leave the land of Israel,

and not via our power will we come back to the land of Israel.

Rabbi S.D. Schneerson

What the rabbis said about zionism

It would be out of the question to publish all the utterances of Gedolei Yisroel [Torah authorities]
during the last century, the period of the emergence of Zionism on the Jewish horizon, because all the Gedolei Yisroel sternly opposed the movement aimed at undermining the Jewish religion and the Jewish essence
[The Torah] forbids us to strive for the reunion or possession of the land by any but spiritual means
Rabbi S. R. Hirsch

Not via our desire did we leave the land of Israel,
and not via our power will we come back to the land of Israel.
Rabbi S.D. Schneerson

[Zionists] want a state in order to make Jews into heretics.
Rabbi C. Soloveichik

The Zionists have attacked the center point of Judaism.
Rabbi V. Soloveichik

The root of Zionism is heresy and its branches can hardly be otherwise.

WHAT THE RABBIS SAID ABOUT ZIONISM
IN THE PREVIOUS GENERATIONS

Once before the Neila prayer on Yom Kippur Rabbi Avraham Yoshe Freund of Mansod said:
"It is not because they are Zionists that they are evildoers. It is because they are evildoers that they are Zionists."

Rabbi Aharon Roth once said:
"It is a miracle that these evildoers don't command everyone to put on tefillin.
It is possible that were they to do it, G-d forbid, it may be forbidden to put them on."

The Chazon Ish once said:
"If it is hard to understand the whole matter of the Golden Calf, by seeing the matter of the State, one can understand it.
The matter of the State is similar to the Golden Calf"

Rabbi Elchonon Wasserman once said:
"It is certain as the sun shines that the Land will vomit the Zionists out, because the Land is the Palace of the King....
I don't say this either to curse or to bless, but because these are things which are written in the Torah and which will take place."

Rabbi Chaim Soloveitchik once said:
"The Zionists aren't taking Jews away from Judaism in order to have a State,
THEY NEED A STATE IN ORDER TO TAKE JEWS AWAY FROM JUDAISM"

Rabbi Yechezkel Shraga Halberstam once said:
"When a Jew recites 'Hear O Israel, the Lord your G-d, the Lord is One'
he should have in mind rejecting all idolatry in the world, including Zionism, which is also idolatry."

Rabbi Yissachar Dov of Belz once said:
" There could be, before the arrival of Mashiach, that the Satan should succeed, and the evildoers should get a State in the Land of Israel.
Their state would be a big danger for every Jew in material and spiritual matters."

The Chafetz Chaim, Rabbi Israel Meir Hakohen once said:
"In my opinion it is clear that the Zionists are from the offspring of AMALEK."

Rabbi Yitzchak Zev Soloveitchik (Reb Velvel) once said:
"How can the little rabbis and heads of yeshivas take upon themselves the determination of things dealing with life and death?
It is obvious that the partition will bring with it the anger and hostility of the Arabs and other nations of the world.
This whole thing touches on the shedding of blood.
HOW DO THEY HAVE THE ARROGANCE TO MAKE JUDGEMENTS DEALING WITH LIFE AND DEATH?

He also said: ]
"The Agudah is nothing, just money." Rabbi Moshe Leib Diskin once said:
"The rabbis of the generation should gather together and issue a writ of excommunication against the Zionists and eject them from the Jewish People,
and make decrees against their bread and wine, and to forbid marrying with them,
JUST LIKE OUR SAGES DID WITH THE SAMARITANS."

Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Eherenreich once said:
"The Zionists brought us to the Holocaust. It is well known that it was possible to redeem Jews from the Nazis with money,
and save many hundreds of thousands of Jews in Hungary from the fire.
THE ZIONIST LEADERS WHO NOW SIT IN GOVERNMENT PREVENTED IT!"

Rabbi Shaul Brach of Kashoa once said:
"Before thinking up the idea of Zionism, Herzl wanted all Jews to convert to Christianity.
When he was laughed at, he developed the second idea which was able to have more effect,
since thousands of Jews began to believe they could be Jews without the Torah of Judaism."

"I am also surprised at the leaders of the Agudah who want thousands of Jews to move to Eretz Israel.
How can they ignore the welfare of their children, since there is no other place on earth where there is so much heresy and sectarianism
as in the Holy Land in our day."

Rabbi
 Yisroel Dovid Weiss

Interview with the representative of ultra-orthodox Neturei-Karta,

an intensely anti Israel Jewish sect
Yisroel Dovid Weiss (born 1956), a United States Haredi Rabbi, is an activist and the spokesman

for Neturei Karta International, an anti-Zionist grouping of Haredi Jews.
Based in Monsey, New York, he believes that observant Jews should peacefully oppose the existence of the Israeli state:

"It would be
forbidden for

us to have

a State,

even if it would be in a

land that

is desolate and

uninhabited."

In the Interview with Fox the rabbi says:
"This was the main stream view of Jewish people worldwide".

Rabbi Weiss: This is the view that was shared by all religious leaders throughout the past hundred years, when the whole movement of Zionism was created, the concept – the ideology – of transforming Judaism from spirituality, a religion, into materialism a nationalistic goal to have a piece of land, all the rabbinical authorities said this is antithetical with what Judaism is all about – expressly forbidden by the Torah because we are in exile by God.
Cavuto: So, you shouldn't have a state? You shouldn't have a country? You shouldn't have a government?
We shouldn't have a state. We should be living amongst all the nations as the Jews were doing for two thousand years as loyal citizens, people who are serving God, emulating God with compassion . . .and the Talmud states clearly that if we will attempt to breach these oaths of God...it would lead to catastrophic results. Contrary to what people believe, that it's a religious conflict, we have been living for hundreds of years among Muslims and Arab communities without any UN human rights groups to watch…
Cavuto: Let me ask you this, Rabbi, was life better for the Jews prior to the creation of the Jewish state of Israel?
Weiss: 100%. In Palestine, we have the testimony of the Jewish community living there and other lands that they were living in harmony and they pleaded with the United Nations, in the documents we have, the chief Rabbi of Jerusalem said we do not want a Jewish state. The Muslim, Christian and Jewish inhabitants were ignored with the creation of the State . . .
Cavuto: Neverthless, you might not have had a country per se, but you were not a stranger to being abused or slaughtered over the millennia, particularly as recently as fifty sixty years ago?
Weiss: There is an issue of being killed because of anti-semitism, and then there's another issue where you antagonize and you create your anti-semitism through Zionism . . . in other words, it's not a free for all – you knock out your neighbors windows and yell anti-semitism.
Cavuto: I know you are an orthodox Jew, what do traditional Jews think of that position?
Weiss: [this is and was the mainstream view of Jewish people worldwide]
Cavuto: I know it was. It isn't now. So what do they tell you now.
Weiss: Well. Lets talk about the religious point of view, because we are talking about Judaism, not about those who left the fold of Judaism.
The Jewish view is, the main stream view is, that, true, we shouldn't be having a state, but once it's created the Zionist propaganda that the Arabs want to throw every Jew into the ocean and there's a ingrained hate against the Jews, which they've convinced many Jews to believe, this is why they're fearful of returning the land . . .
Cavuto: Well you can't blame them, right, I mean you have the president of Iran who says the Holocaust never existed and if he had his druthers he'd destroy Israel and all the Jews.
Weiss: That's also patently false. He has a Jewish community in Iran and they haven't murdered them when they had the opportunity to . . .
Cavuto: So, you don't take him at his word that he would try to kill Jews?
Weiss: He would [want] the dismantling of the political state of Israel. In fact, we went, a whole group of Rabbis this last year to visit Iran, and we were taken up by the leaders, we met with the vice president, he [Ahmedinejad] was in Venezuela at the time, we met with religious leaders, all of them stated unequivocally that don't have a conflict with [Jews]
Cavuto: So as long as Israel exists, Rabbi, you think – just itching for trouble
Weiss: Jews are suffering, Palestinians and Leabanese are suffering . . . we pray for the speedy and peaceful dismantlment of the Jewish state.
Cavuto: It's interesting Rabbi, you don't hear that view often.

We all lived the Holocaust. The people died because they were Jewish. Because they upheld God's teaching.

  1. I admire your computer skills and all the work you have done on this blog. I did not have time to read it carefully, but one thought that occurred to me and seemed relevant for you is that the Scripture, to my knowledge, nowhere says that it is wrong for the Jews to reestablish Israel as a political state. Nor does any Scripture seem to say that it cannot be done apart from the Messiah.

  2. Holy Heretic,

The materials and references you are collecting have great interest and importance. I look forward to your many blogs now under construction becoming better organized over time. (One problem I notice is that some links to sources are within images and cannot be clicked or copied to the browser clipboard.)

Many thanks for collecting all this good reference material.

  3. H.H.

There is a lot of great information on this site. Thank you for taking the time to put it together.
A couple of the links did not work properly, perhaps the information had been moved.
Over all, I am impressed and enjoyed reviewing the material.

  4. "You are cursed with a toxic mix of ignorance and arrogance, my friend."

you don't know the first thing about me, I've given you nothing on which for you to base that opinion. it is in this that YOUR ignorance & arrogance shows

"To begin with, you have been pestering me with comments on my personal page, whining that I should give you more of my time. You seem to me to be fragile and insecure and frankly I do not feel like playing as your psychiatrist."

You posted to my page first, then got angry when I didn't agree with you. I didn't care how much time you spent on me, I was pointing out how long it too you to respond to someone who made you work outside your cut/paste modus operandi

"I had explained to you why during Einstein's lifetime freedom of expression was more limited and you replied with a picture of the bombing of the Twin Towers and about the Iraq War.
My beloved "Rabbi", Einstein lived during World War II.
Einstein was a refugee of the Holocaust, you moron. There is no comparison between the the horrors of that period and the situation we are in today. If you can't see this, you can't see this."

Try telling that to the victims of the Iraq War, I know that many people suffered during the Holocaust, but how is their suffering greater than those who are being persecuted today? or do that just not count because they are Islam?

"You predicted that I will block you. The last time someone predicted this, I ended up fulfilling his "prophecy"."

Of course you blocked me, you knew I'd make a fool of you. I'm obviously superior at debating plus I'm gifted with my own opinions. anyone who reads the exchange between us will see this.

    You fail

*Don't worry, this is the last you'll hear from me, your not that important & I have a life , see ya in the funnies
